The British Columbia Chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists presents our next education session: "The Advisor Value Proposition: How Modern Advisors Differentiate Their Advisory Services From the Policies They Sell".
In this session Matt Lister will unpack the fundamental role of an advisor with an emphasis on the advisory approach. While the industry has long recognized the role of the licensed broker in the sale of insurance policies, the focus of this presentation will be how advisors can differentiate themselves today with a value proposition centered on effective advice. Employers are faced with business decisions that may have an immense impact on employees and their families. With a high burden of responsibility employers rely on the advice of advisors to navigate opportunities, manage risk and offer competitive coverage. The Advisory Approach involves the diligent exploration of client needs, problems they face and solutions available in the marketplace. The best decisions an employer can make will be made with the best available information. Advice represents a prioritized summary of recommendations and considerations based on data from the marketplace, data from employees and experienced expertise. In changing times Advisors will face increased competition to demonstrate their value to clients and an Advisory Approach will not only best serve employers and their people but also clearly differentiate the value of advisors from just the policies that they sell.
