The British Columbia Chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists presents our next education session.
From pension fund managers to those investing on their own, sustainable investing has gathered widespread appeal in recent years. With a shift in attitudes about corporate social responsibility and the emergence of shareholder activism, the investing industry has moved away from strictly thinking about a financial bottom line.
Suitable for anyone with money to invest and those who influence pension plans, this session will highlight the key issues faced by those looking into a company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors before investing.
Bradley Hough, Senior Consultant at PBI Actuarial Consultants in Vancouver, will lead us through this engaging virtual presentation.
Bradley has 13 years of consulting experience, working in the UK for the first seven years and the last six in Western Canada. Bradley joined PBI in February 2018. Before 2018, Bradley worked for a large multinational actuarial and HR consultancy. He has a broad range of experience, starting and qualifying as a pension actuary before working in a specialist LDI/fixed income and derivatives team that helped large UK plans manage interest rate and inflation risk. He also has specialist expertise in alternative strategies, including private markets, portable alpha and the use of derivative based overlay strategies.
Bradley is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA), an Associate of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (ACIA), a CAIA charterholder and is currently studying for the Financial Risk Management (FRM) designation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Exeter.
