Preferred Provider Networks (PPN) have been a hot topic in national media in recent weeks. This session explores the emergence of Plan Sponsor Pharmacies, what makes this model different from PPNs, how the various business models of pharmacies in Canada compare to each other, and what the integration of pharmacy services and benefit plans means for plan advisors and plan sponsors moving forward. Presenter: Mike Sullivan co-founded Cubic Health in 2003 and serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Cubic provides Plan & Predictive Analytics as well as clinically based solutions to self-insured health benefit plans ranging in size from 1,000 to over 500,000 employee lives. Mike began his career as a Community Pharmacist and has previous experience working in both the Pharmaceutical and Benefits Consulting industries. He currently serves as the Leader-in-Residence at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto where he also serves as Adjunct Professor. Mike is a frequent speaker domestically and internationally on topics related to the management of health benefits for groups such as the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP), (ISCEBS), Canadian Pension & Benefits Institute (CPBI) and the Conference Board of Canada. He graduated rom the College of Pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan and was honoured with a Centennial Alumni of Influence Award. Mike earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University where he specialized in Finance. |
