The British Columbia Chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists presents our next education session.
Employer-Sponsored Pension Plans are a vital benefit to millions of Canadians. However, the value of these plans, to both employers and plan members, are often misunderstood. Please join the British Columbia ISCEBS Chapter on Tuesday, September 24th for our next breakfast seminar on this topic.
The content is designed for anyone who is a sponsor or a member of an employer-sponsored plan and wants to better understand the value of your program and other programs available within the Canadian retirement plan landscape.
Stephen Cheng, Senior Consulting Actuary at Westcoast Actuaries will start by looking at this within the defined benefit (DB) context. Peter Graham, Certified Financial Planner at Porchlight Financial, a HUB International Company, will then discuss the value of defined contribution plan (DC) arrangements. Finally, we will briefly discuss alternate retirement plan arrangements and a Q&A period.
